The review of cartoon, music video by the
"Roller Coaster": Non-Russian speakers who have followed the rebellion
in Kiev, Ukraine known as Euro-Maidan and its aftermath, will find in the
cartoon Roller Coaster the truth of the foreign intervention which has claimed
the lives of over 9 000 civilians in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions in the war
that has indebted the country and reduced it close to the definition of failed
state.
What does Roller Coaster do? It presents
a simplified view of
the Ukrainian crisis that was instigated by the United
States via the Euro-Maidan uprising which the United States funded to the tune
of $5 billion. The question Roller Coaster answers is: Why and how could it do
that?
The opening of Roller Coaster depicts a
boy and a girl (symbolizing Ukrainian youth) enjoying a simple and healthy
lifestyle with pleasures as simple as walking in the park to enjoy flora and
fauna. Of course, that is neither the American way, nor in the American view,
other lifestyles need to conform. Next, the youthful Ukrainians are bombarded
with advertising about the glamour of the West and they listen, frustrated and
wanting benefits that could be theirs by bringing the European Union to
Ukraine.
Roller Coaster points out that benefits
come with costs. But no one was looking at the costs.
Young Ukrainians have little experience
of advertising and believed all the promises of how life would be after joining
the EU, including higher wages and visa-free travel. Sounds great! Too good to
be true? Sounds that way!
Enter the super-salesman! This character
must be Uncle Sam, a ferocious looking wartime comic character that appeared on
war posters demanding of American youth – We Want You! Of course, that was in
the days that America used their soldiers to fight wars, not other nation's
troops. Uncle Sam is also a reminder of American values. So, he has two faces
... good and evil!
The cartoon portrays him as evil and with
regard to Ukraine does so with justification.
To encourage the youth of Ukraine to
follow the path to the West, Uncle Sam needs to re-educate the youth,
encouraging them to believe that their national cultural values and identity
limit their personal development. He urges Ukrainian youth to accept new ideals
– personal gratification such as free love (and homosexuality), quest for
money, and material accumulation like boats, cars and TV's and maybe even
credit card debt.
And, with the culture comes fast food
(not mentioning the growth of diabetes and heart disease. Young minds should
also be fed entertainment that does not require people to think – games, shows,
quizzes, reality shows, etc. For what purpose? People who don't think are
easier to control.
The new Education is labeled
Stupification, a move to destroy the cultural values of the nation and make it
more like America. God forbid! This is shown in the cartoon by the libraries
(presumably Ukrainian) collecting their books and destroying them. After all,
who needs books with all the junk TV and radio.
In the new Ukraine, Roller Coaster
portrays Uncle Sam's helpers, in particular a wind-up toy PIG that pushes his
way to help achieve the goals of Uncle Sam; he backs the demands for a war of
Ukrainians against Ukrainians, allows Uncle Sam to gobble up the mineral and
manufacturing infrastructure of Ukraine that must also include the land.
Against a greedy pig, that pushes its way
everywhere, is there any defense?
Roller Coaster ends with the construction
of a castle that reaches the sky, manned by common Ukrainians – youth and older
professionals of all persuasions, standing firm on retaining the cultural
values of the Old Ukraine and rejecting the permissive society of the West and
all that it stands for.

The situation in the Donetsk People’s Republic has
abruptly aggravated.
Yesterday morning the Ukrainian side attempted
sabotage-reconnaissance group break-through in the area of the locality of
Zaitsevo and it provoked counteractions from our side.
After that, yesterday’s noon, the Republican Head
Aleksandr Zakharchenko in the name of reducing tension on the contact line and
giving a regular chance to Ukraine’s leadership of solving the conflict by
peaceful means, put forward an initiative to the Ukrainian side to stop
the mutual shellings at 00:00 on the night of 14-15 September. Due to this, he
gave the corresponding orders to our formations and military units of the
People’s Militia which are to inviolately implement them since today’s
midnight.
Nevertheless, last night the Ukrainian side used this
opportunity to fire all their ammunition arsenal with the military equipment
prohibited before the ceasefire regime came into force.
Altogether, over the past day the Ukrainian military
violated the ceasefire regime 585times.
On the territory of the Republican localities there
were launched 85 artillery shells, 162 mortar shells of 120mm caliber and 275
mortar shells of 82mm caliber. Besides, the fire was opened with infantry
fighting vehicles, rocket anti-tank launchers and small arms.
The Ukrainian punishers shelled the localities of Ozyeryanovka, Zaitsevo, Krasny
Partizan, Makeyevka, Yasinovataya, Spartak, Mineralnoye, Trudovskiye,
Aleksandrovka, Dokuchayevsk, Nikolayevka, Sakhanka and the Petrovsky district
of Donetsk City.
As a result of the punishers’ fire there got wounded six civilians.
As a result of the artillery shellings on the part of
the AFU there got damaged the following:
In the locality of Makeyevka there
got damaged six house-buildings, including the school building and the gas pipe
line as well.
In the locality of Gorlovka there
got damaged three house-buildings;
In the locality of Zaitsevo there
got damaged four residential houses;
In the locality of Sakhanka there
was destroyed the electrical substation;
In the Petrovsky district of Donetsk City there got damaged a
house-building.
Besides, as a result of the battle taking place at
about 11, on September 13, 2016 against the enemy sabotage-reconnaissance group
of the AFU special forces near the locality of Zaitsevo, trying to penetrate on
the territory of the DPR to carry out a terrorist attack, there heroically died
three our servicemen. It is important to note that almost the whole group of
the Ukrainian subverters was liquidated; the bodies of 11 people remained lying
on the battle field for two hours then the Ukrainian side evacuated them.
The use of the sabotage-reconnaissance group,
including one that consists of under-age residents of the Republic who remained
without a house and parents as a result of destroying their houses by the
Ukrainian punishers, tells about the fact that Ukraine has chosen the terrorist
methods of the war in Donbass.
We are calling upon the world community to pay
attention to these facts.
Our intelligence keeps registering facts of preparing
the provocative acts and the military actions activation. Thus, in the area of:
The locality of Krasnogorovka (3km
away from the contact line) there was registered the presence of the temporary
fire positions of two work units of mortars of 82mm and 120mm caliber;
The locality of Novgorodskoye (6km
away from the contact line) there arrived three tans and two vehicles with
ammunition on the territory of the machine-building factory;
The locality of Nikolayevka (13km
away from the contact line) there was registered the presence of three tanks
and five vehicles with ammunition.
All the data on violating the Minsk Agreements by the
Ukrainian side and the location of the AFU military equipment prohibited were
handed over to the OSCE and JCCC representatives.
Yesterday, on September 13, the servicemen of the
separate troop of the People’s Militia Komsomolskoye together
with the All-Russian veterans’ organization Boyevoye bratstvo rendered the humanitarian aid to the
social objects of the Republic.
In particular, it was rendered to the school and three
kindergartens in the locality of Komsomolskoye, to the schools and
kindergartens in the locality of Rozdolnoye, to the school and kindergarten in
the locality of Solntsevo and there were handed over foodstuffs and clothes to
the families of the dead servicemen living in the locality of Telmanovo.
Altogether, the DPR People’s Militia rendered the humanitarian aid by
foodstuffs, essential tools and clothes weighting 3,5 tons.

the population and of the comrades-in-arms families members.

The conflict in Donbass has
left 9,640 people dead and 22,431 wounded, according to a new report by the
Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) on the human rights
situation in that country released in Geneva on Thursday.
"By
15 September 2016, OHCHR recorded 9,640 conflict-related deaths and 22,431
injuries among Ukrainian armed forces, civilians and members of the armed
groups since the conflict began in mid-April 2014," the document
says.
The report covering the period from
mid-May to mid-August indicates a 66% increase in the number of
conflict-related civilian casualties in the east, compared to the previous
reporting period. In total, the UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine
documented 188 civilian casualties in Donbass, including 28 dead and 160
injured, during the three months covered by this report.

The Russian
Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case against an employee of the
Ukrainian security agencies who recruited teenagers to carry out explosions in
the Donbass region, reported by TASS.
The Investigative
Committee’s Main Investigation Department has opened a criminal case against an
employee of the Ukrainian law enforcement agencies Igor Ritsko and other
unidentified persons for the crime under Part 1 Article 356 of Russia’s Criminal
Code (use of prohibited means and methods of warfare)," he said.
According to Markin, a
group of seven teenagers carried out eight explosions at civilian
infrastructure and military facilities in the city of Yasinovataya in the
Donetsk region between May 2015 and June 2016 under instructions from Ritsko.
He
noted that Ritsko and other unidentified employees of Ukraine’s security
agencies, in violation of the provisions of international legal acts that
guarantee observance and protection of the rights of civilian population,
including minors, involved some juvenile residents of Yasinovataya in
committing serious and particularly grave crimes during the armed conflict in
May 2015. "They did that by means of promising material reward, blackmail
and threats," Markin said.

German Foreign Minister
Frank-Walter Steinmeier is planning to travel to Donbass during his
visit to Ukraine on September 14-15, German Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Sawsan
Chebli told a press briefing in Berlin on Wednesday.
"(The
trip includes) Donbass as well, which city I cannot say just now. The trip
will not be limited to Kiev," she told reporters. Chebli later noted that
Steinmeier is planning to travel to Donbass in the morning on September 15 and
visit the city of Kramatorsk, reports TASS.
The German top diplomat
earlier said that he was going, together with his French counterpart, Jean-Marc
Ayrault, to discuss with Poroshenko, prime minister and representatives of the
parliamentary parties an opportunity to accelerate the implementation of the
Minsk agreement on the settlement in the Donbass region during his visit to
Ukraine.
