The situation
in the Donetsk People' Republic remains tense.
Over the past day the number of bombardments reached three hundred and five.
The enemy launched twenty-two 152 and 122mm artillery shells and a hundred twenty-five 82 and 120mm mortar shells. In addition, the enemy used in shelling infantry fighting vehicles, grenade launchers and small arms.
The war criminals continued shelling the localities of
the Republic, such as Zaytsevo,
Golmovsky, Yasinovataya, Spartak, Vesyoloye, Alexandrovka,
Dokuchaevsk, the Petrovsky district and the airport of Donetsk

Dishonesty and
lack of principle of the military and political authorities of Ukraine are
limitless. Even on the eve of a meeting of the contact group in Minsk, localities
of the Republic were subjected to heavy artillery and mortar provocative
attacks by the Ukrainian military. Within several days, we recorded the
increasing tension along the contact line. At the same time, our side was
strewed with accusations of the Minsk agreements violation.

This fact indicates that the Kiev junta is trying to splurge the "Norman format" and the world community at today's talks of the Contact group, and to convince everyone that it adheres to the Minsk Agreements and tries to resolve the conflict in the south-east of the country.

We have
repeatedly drawn attention to attempts of the Ukrainian punishers to conceal
their criminal activities against the population of the Republic from the OSCE
monitoring mission, which is confirmed by both the official and the
international mission's reports. The false Ukrainian media are spreading
another message with accusations os the DPR People's Militia personnel of the
destruction of a UAV of the OSCE mission near the locality of Avdeevka
at night from 25 to 26 July 2016, although, according to our information, the
drone was flying over the territory controlled by Kiev when the contact with it
was lost.
I would like to pay special attention to the fact that after the destruction of the OSCE UAV, the Ukrainian military, convinced of the absence of the mission control, launched over forty 122 and 152 mm artillery shells and over three hundred 82 and 120 mm mortar shells on the territory of the Republic during the night.

The Ukrainian
side continues to deliberately destroy the life support facilities and
infrastructure of Donbass. Previously, we reported on the power supply damaged
at the Donetsk filtration plant, which we have not been able to restore for
several days due to continuing attacks by the AFU.
According to our sources, in the area of the locality of Krutaya Balka the enemy undermined the dam of a reservoir which is a repository of strategic reserve of water for the surrounding localities, including Donetsk, Gorlovka and Yasinovataya.

The situation
in the zone of responsibility of the People's Militia remains tense despite a
decrease in the number of attacks. In such a way, the enemy tries to lull our
vigilance.
Yesterday, the Ukrainian punishers from the 28th separate mechanised brigade of the AFU one time shelled our positions with an infantry fighting vehicle in the area of the Prince Igor monument.
There are no casualties.
According to our intelligence, in the area of the locality of Mirnaya Dolina, the Popasnyansky region, there was detected a cluster of the AFU equipment. On the positions, there were found ten tanks and different vehicles.
On the northern outskirts of the locality of Luganskoye, there were discovered the fire positions of a mortar battery, presumably, of the 1st battalion of the 54th mechanized brigade of the AFU. A short distance from the contact line and the proximity of private civilian houses to the AFU positions enable the Uktainian military to conduct attacks on the People's Militia positions.
It also became known that ten motorised artillery systems were delivered to the railway station in the locality of Rubezhnoye. Unloaded from the freight platforms, the artillery systems moved on their own to Severodonetsk. During this same period of time, in the ATO area, there were observed up to four aircraft Su-25 flying from the airfield in Severodonetsk towards Kharkov and back. According to our data, it was a test of certain skills of pilots in a situation close to reality.
In addition, as a result of a lack of personnel in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, after the demobilization of the 5th wave of mobilization, the nationalist battalions are being delivered to the contact line. In particular, in the locality of Popasnaya arrived up to six armored vehicles "KrAZ" with the personnel. On the vehicles, there were seen red and black flags, and, according to our data, the unit belongs to the nationalist organization "Right Sector", and came to reinforce the 10th battalion of the 59th separate motorized infantry brigade of the AFU.
It also became known that from the territory of the locality of Novoaydar, at night, the AFU are moving the military equipment and personnel, allegedly, to the contact line. The Novoaydarsky and Starobelsky regions are coming under the control of Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
The Ukrainian punishers continue to use civilian objects in the border areas for military purposes. In particular, in the locality of Schastye, boxes of ammunition are delivered to the basement of the building of the former school of radio electronics. Presumably, this part of the building is used by the command of the 92nd mechanized brigade of the AFU as an ammunition depot.
We also know that in the locality of Schastye the Armed Forces of Ukraine are carrying out engineering works on the fortifications of the first line of the town defense. In addition, large-scale events with the use of engineering machinery are carried out on the AFU positions 2 km away from the locality of Lopaskino. Timber and building materials are actively brought there. According to our data, in this area long-term firing positions are prepared. In general, active engineering works are carried out along the entire contact line.
Thus, the Ukrainian punishers continue to consider the military option to resolve the conflict in the south-east as primary, as well as they use the cease-fire regime to build up their military potential.

Many who
support Russia and Donbass are angry when they see the victims and destructions
of the civil war that continues in the silence of the Western media. And this
anger is expressed in the form of calls for war, for Russian intervention to
save the Donbass people and sometimes calls to simply raze Kiev.
If advisers are
not payers, those who call for war are also rarely those who will wage it on
the front line. It is easy from their comfortable lounge in the West to ask
Russia to launch a war to save the Donbass people. It is more difficult to
understand that this intervention would have a high price even for people who
call this war of their vows.
The Minsk-2
agreements and the respect of these agreements are however of paramount
importance, not only for Donbass and Russia, but also for the whole world. And
if some consider the Minsk-2 agreements as a betrayal of Russia towards
Donbass, it is nothing of the sort.
As with its
intervention in Syria, Russia reaffirmed via Minsk-2 the predominance of
international law. A law manhandled for decades by the US and NATO, which
Russia wants to rehabilitate because only international law respected by all
can guarantee world peace and more balanced relations between the countries. If
international law no longer exists, as so aptly said by Vladimir Putin, it will
simply be the rule of the strongest. The jungle law.
How could
Russia thus promote the international law if, on its turn, it flouted it
openly? Many would retort me that the US and the West practice the doublespeak
of "do as I say but not as I do". If one wants to discredit forever
the carried message, this is actually the best way to do.
But Russia is
not the West, and it is not because the West scorns honesty and international
law that Russia should do the same. It is only by the example that we can
convince people of the reality of the carried message. Because if it easy to
lie with words, it is much harder to lie by acts.
And it is this
philosophy which is applied by Russia, in Syria, where it intervened only in
accordance with international law, after the failure of its calls to negotiate.
Negotiations that were quickly called of their vows by the very people who had
despised it before, after the success of the Russian Air Forces.
And when the
ceasefire in Syria was signed, all shouted on the betrayal of Syria by Russia,
without understanding the stake: to easily distinguish the truly moderate
rebels (democratic opposition) from terrorists. These indeed have refused to
sign the ceasefire or are violating it, allowing Russia to justify its strikes
against them, and the international community can no longer complain about
this.
The Minsk-2
agreements result from the same logic, and are in reality agreements with
several aims. Their purpose is to both:
-- To significantly reduce the number of victims, even if the ceasefire is not respected by Kiev, there are fewer victims since the Minsk agreements that in the early days of the war.
-- Remind that
international law is not made to sit on it, and that the conflicts should be
settled first by negotiation. And to show at the same time that Russia actively
promotes respect for international law contrary to Western claims.
-- Let Kiev and
its Western patrons discredit themselves by not implementing Minsk-2 (because
it was written even before the signature of Poroshenko on the document was
dry), and make them endorse the role of those who did not not respect the
international law and signed agreements (and for those who believe that one day
Ukraine will implement Minsk-2, it would provoke the political suicide of the
president who would do it, unless a total denazification of Ukraine).
-- Let time to
Ukraine, and potentially also its Western patrons, to collapse, alone if
possible, putting an end to that war (because currently the financial state of
the US, Europe and Ukraine is very far from rejoicing, all indicators plunge
deeper into red).
-- Give time to
the two young people's republics to build a really viable state, and thus
provide a solid alternative to the Ukrainian state.
-- Freed Russia temporarily on one front to take care of the Syrian case more intensively and solve it definitely (because managing two hot fronts at the same time is dangerous).

-- Give also
time to Russia to prepare itself for the confrontation with US and NATO, if it
should become unavoidable (which unfortunately is increasingly the case).
Make no mistake
about it, Donbass, Syria and other conflicts on the outskirts of Russia intend
to provoke a response from it, to then be able to attack Russia under this pretext.
The slightest misstep of Russia would give to NATO the excuse it needs to
launch hostilities against Russia, and thus trigger a third world war.
And asking
Russia to wage a war against Ukraine it is nothing less than to play NATO war
dogs games. The more time Russia saves before this confrontation, the more its
chances to win with fewer victims will be great. By the end of 2016 - early
2017, Russia will be equipped with anti-missiles protection systems S-500,
locking the Russian sky to ballistic and nuclear enemy missiles. And the enemy
knows it. This combined with the catastrophic situation of the US economy and
upcoming presidential elections this year forms a highly explosive cocktail, on
which many are trying to throw matches.
If the
situation in the Donbass revolts you, then act, but intelligently. Relay
information to try to wake up the people around you, give to humanitarian
associations, or make humanitarian actions for Donbass. But stop wanting to act
in haste to save the Donbass population.
What is at
stake goes well beyond Donbass, and the victims in case of missteps of Russia,
would not amount in tens of thousands but tens of millions or more. In these
circumstances we must all act with caution, patience and hindsight. Like any
good chess player. And remember that:
